Athletes Help With Special Olympics Volleyball Practices

11/3/2014 — ALTOONA, Pa. - Members of the Penn State Altoona men's volleyball team assisted the Special Olympics of Blair County in its volleyball practice on Sunday at the Booker T. Washington Center.

The Lions practiced with and coached the Special Olympians to help them prepare for their participation in the 26th Annual Special Olympics Pennsylvania Fall Festival at Villanova University on November 7-9.

In addition to Penn State Altoona's varsity men's volleyball team lending a helping hand with the Special Olympics volleyball practices, the school's baseball, cross country, and men's and women's basketball teams have also assisted in the volleyball practices over the past two months.
