The Mavericks grabbed the lead at 30:09 on Hassan Sabtow's penalty kick goal, and nine minutes later, the home team increased its advantage to 3-1 on Mitchell Ali's goal.

Ali added on early in the second half, scoring his second goal of the game at 54:40. Lachlan Wilkinson upped Medaille's lead to 5-1 at 62:51 when he chipped a shot over the keeper from a tough angle on the right side.

Sabtow scored twice more, once at 75:03 and again at 79:49, to notch the hat trick for Medaille and put his squad ahead 7-1.

The Mavericks outshot Penn State Altoona 22-10 overall and 15-7 in shots on goal. Corner kicks were tied 3-3.
