Lady Lions Fall 3-0 to Pitt-Bradford in AMCC Championship

11/6/2016 — BRADFORD, Pa. - #2 Penn State Altoona women's volleyball lost the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championship match 3-0 to #1 Pitt-Bradford on Sunday afternoon at the KOA Arena.

Pitt-Bradford (25-5, 9-0 AMCC) swept the match in straight sets by scores of 25-20, 27-25, and 25-11 to grab their second-ever conference title and the automatic NCAA postseason bid.

By finishing the season with at least a .500 overall record, Penn State Altoona (13-13, 8-1 AMCC) is eligible to be granted a berth into an Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III postseason tournament, and the Lady Lions will await word on a potential berth into that playoff tournament early this week.

Logan Reedy (Lebanon, PA/Cedar Crest) led all players in kills, finishing the day with a career-high 15 kills to go along with three block assists. Lauren Diller (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg) added eight kills and eight digs.

Kelsey Bristol (Troy, PA/Troy) had a match-high 18 digs to go along with five kills. Josie Stovall (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) led all players in blocks, recording two solo blocks and three block assists.

Emily Bryan (Waynesboro, PA/Waynesboro) had a team-high 27 set assists.

Emily Baker (Lewisberry, PA/Red Land) totaled 15 digs.
