In a home tri-meet with Bethany and Frostburg on Saturday afternoon, Shmurak notched two more individual firsts and another relay first. He won the 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 23.02, and he later placed first in the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 56.79. Shmurak helped the Lions finish the meet with a first place in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, as the squad combined for a time of 1:34.34 in that swim.

On the week, Shmurak totaled four individual first place finishes and two relay first places. This is the first time in his collegiate swimming career that he has been awarded the AMCC Men's Swimmer of the Week recognition.

Penn State Altoona men's swimming finishes its season in the AMCC Championships on February 9-11 at Penn State Behrend.
