Men's Tennis Eliminated from AMCC Tournament With 5-0 Loss

4/22/2017 — ERIE, Pa. - #3 Penn State Altoona men's tennis was knocked out of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Tournament on Saturday evening, suffering a 5-0 loss to #2 Penn State Behrend at the Westwood Racquet Club.

Behrend (11-9, 4-1 AMCC) advances to tomorrow's AMCC championship match against #1 Franciscan University. Meanwhile, Penn State Altoona (7-5, 3-2 AMCC) is eliminated from the tournament.

Behrend opened the match by sweeping doubles by scores of 8-3, 8-2, and 8-4. They proceeded to win 6-3, 6-2 in No. 1 singles and 6-1, 6-0 in No. 2 singles to clinch the overall match win.
