Weather Forces Changes to ECAC Softball Tournament

UPDATED TOURNAMENT BRACKET

5/12/2017 — DANBURY, Conn. - Due to the forecast of inclement weather on Saturday, the Eastern College Athletic Conference has announced schedule changes to its Division III Softball Championship Tournament at Arcadia University this weekend.

With the high probability of steady, heavy rain in the Philadelphia region this Saturday, May 13, all of that day's action has been cancelled. The tournament will now become single elimination format, with three games being played on Sunday, May 14.

No. 1 Arcadia will take on No. 4 New York University in Sunday's first semifinal game, with first pitch tentatively scheduled for 10:00 a.m. In semifinal game two, No. 6 Penn State Altoona faces No. 2 Stockton University at approximately 1:00 p.m. The winners of those two games will square off in the championship game at 4:00 p.m.

The Lady Lions (18-17) won their first round game on Wednesday afternoon, defeating No. 3 Alvernia University 5-1 to advance to the next round of the ECAC Tournament.

Sunday, May 14 - ECAC Division III Softball Championship Tournament
at Arcadia University


Semifinal game one: No. 1 Arcadia vs. No. 4 New York, 10:00 a.m.
Semifinal game two: No. 2 Stockton vs. No. 6 Penn State Altoona, 1:00 p.m.

Championship game: Game one winner vs. Game two winner, 4:00 p.m.
