2/23/2017 — ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - Penn State Altoona senior women's bowler Brea Suchonic (Butler, PA/Butler) was selected to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's All-Conference Team on Thursday, when the league announced its postseason bowling awards.
Suchonic, who just completed her fourth season with the Penn State Altoona women's bowling team, is making her third appearance on an All-AMCC squad. In the 2016-2017 season, Suchonic again posted consistently strong scores for Penn State Altoona. The senior was first on her team and eighth in the AMCC in team format average scoring, averaging 166.87 per game. She also held five of the Lady Lions' top eight single game high scores in team format play, including a season-best 184 on January 28 against Caldwell University. Suchonic also recorded a team-best baker format average of 13.41.
Penn State Altoona women's bowling posted a 5-26 overall record this past season and finished in fifth place in the AMCC Championships earlier this month.
